Welcome to the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) page where you can find out more about what we do, upcoming events and ways you can support us.

What we do

The PTA is a registered charity (number 1044053) that supports the school to enhance learning. We raise money to fund learning resources and extras that cannot be bought out of the school budget. We also arrange fun activities and events for pupils, their families and the wider community.

We raised over £6k last year - thank you to everyone for your support and contributions.

All parents/carers and all school staff are automatically members of the PTA. We hold regular PTA meetings and would love for you to join us. The next meeting is on Thursday 13th November at 6pm in the school hall. Please come along and say hello - you'll be able to find out more about what we do and it’s a great opportunity to share ideas and shape our fundraising efforts.

We are very grateful to everyone who volunteers and helps out. We can only run events and fundraising activities with your support. Please get in touch if you can help - any amount of time you can volunteer is very much appreciated.

What we’ve funded

We funded 15 new iPads and a charging trolley for the school last year. This now means that the school has a full class set of iPads to use. We’ve heard lots of great things from the children about how they’ve been using them in lessons.

The PTA also pays for a number of learning subscriptions that are used across the school. These include:

• Friday 21st November - 50/50 sale (Year 5 families) - see posters and whatsapp messages for more information

• Thursday 27th & Friday 28th November - Wreath making workshops [sold out!]

• Friday 5th December - Christmas Fair - volunteer here if you can help (or email the PTA for a link to the volunteer form)

• Saturday 6th December - Breakfast with Santa - tickets must be prebooked here (www.pta-events.co.uk/blakedownprimary)

• Sunday 14th December - Santa’s sleigh in Blakedown - route and timings to follow soon!

• Tuesday 16th & Thursday 17th December - Santa’s sleigh in Hagley - route and timings to follow soon!
