Summer Term 1

This coming half-term our topic is 'plants'. As we enter the season of spring, the surrounding environment will be changing as the earth warms up, which is the perfect time to become plant detectives/experts. 

 'Wellbeing Welly Wednesdays' are continuing as I hope to spend as much time outdoors with the children as possible (weather dependent).

Class 1 Reminders:

Your child will need a water bottle in school every day. This should only have water inside and should be labelled clearly with your child's name.

Home reading - Please could home-reading books be returned to school each Thursday, your child will then have the opportunity to select a new book to read for pleasure at home. Each Friday your child will also be given a Little Wandle book, this is the book which they have already read 3 times at school.

PE for Year 1 is on a Monday afternoon and Thursday morning. Your child should come to school already dressed in their PE kit on these days.

 'Wellbeing Welly Wednesdays' will continue so don't forget your wellies.

Homework will be set for each half-term. Homework books will be sent out containing the term's activity grid at the start of each term, and you will then have 5/6 weeks to complete a range of chosen activities.
