Spring Term 2

This coming half-term our topic is the 'weather'. It feels like it has been raining forever, so fingers crossed this changes as the earth begins to warm beneath our feet and the days begin to lengthen. 

We are all really excited about our 'Wellbeing Welly Wild Wednesdays' 😄.

The first being on Wednesday 25th February 2026 and the final session being Wednesday 18th March 2026.

 

Class 1 Reminders:

Your child will need a water bottle in school every day. This should only have water inside and should be labelled clearly with your child's name.

Home reading - Please could home-reading books be returned to school each Thursday, your child will then have the opportunity to select a new book to read for pleasure at home. Each Friday your child will also be given a Little Wandle book, this is the book which they have already read 3 times at school.

PE for Year 1 is on a Thursday morning. Your child should come to school already dressed in their PE kit on these days.

Introducing 'Wellbeing Welly Wild Wednesdays' beginning 25th February.

Homework will be set for each half-term. Homework books will be sent out containing the term's activity grid at the start of each term, and you will then have 5/6 weeks to complete a range of chosen activities.
