As a school we will be teaching spelling through the 'Little Wandle' approach.

• Your child will develop their understanding of spellings, working on a range of strategies and looking for patterns, these will then support your child at home.

• Your child will learn a series a spelling pattern during a daily spelling lesson in school. Words that follow this spelling pattern will be sent home on a Tuesday for you to work on at home.

• Your child will then be tested on the spelling words on a Monday. They will also have some prickly words to work on too, these do not follow a spelling rule or pattern.
