WANTED: The Perfect Pet by Fiona Roberton.
I hope that you enjoy this story. Again, this is a book that I was hoping we would complete work on in Literacy this half term. After you have listened to the story you could think of an animal which you believe would be the perfect pet for you. Draw it and label the reasons why it would make the perfect pet for you. Then write an advertisement to find your perfect pet. Research your animal/creature and write a list of it's skills which would make it a perfect pet for you. Have fun with it and use your imagination and creativity. Use non-fiction books and their features to research your animal/creature. You could also write some instructions on how to look after your perfect pet. Send me your work at: email@example.com I cannot wait to see what you think the perfect pet would be for you! :) I have put pictures from the book below to help you set out your work. Have fun!

The Pea and the Princess by Mini Grey.
The Disgusting Sandwich, read by Miss Low.
As promised, I have recorded myself reading a story for you. I hope that you enjoy the story?! If you would like to plan and write your own version of the story, then please do. OR you could draw a picture of your own disgusting sandwich and think of adjectives to describe it. Then use these adjectives (and perhaps commas) to write expanded noun phrases to describe your sandwich. Send them to me at: firstname.lastname@example.org I will try and upload a story each week for you.
Us Two - a poem by AA Milne
This poem made me think of you all. We can 'stick together' and even though we can't see each other at the moment, we are still a special group together.
The Three Foxes Poem by AA Milne (From the 'When We Were Very Young,' collection of poems).
I have read this poem to you before as it is one of my favourite poems from one of my favourite collections of poems and is by AA Milne.
