Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Tournament
The Active School Partnership's Tag Rugby Tournament was held today at Halesowen College for the Year 3 & 4 children from the pyramid primary schools. The college used their training sports leaders to prepare the tournament and lead the games and the children had three games, one each against Clent, Belbroughton and St. Kenelm's.
Both our teams played well together and showed a high skill level. They played with good sportsmanship and kept persevering right to the end. It was very close for the Year 4 team who were level at the start of their last game with Belbroughton, but were just pipped to the post at the end. Year 3 were clear winners - well done!
All the children played well and enjoyed themselves, using skills they had learnt in their P.E. lessons and for some, their skills developed in out of school rugby clubs. Money from the Sports Fund was used to help in the organisation and running of this event and also in having the time of Miss Yenson, our P.E. specialist, who supported the teaching of tag rugby over this half term.
