Class 3

Welcome to Class 3

Hello all, I hope you are all keeping safe and well. I have produced a few (rustic!) videos to remind children and show parents how we use some different strategies in maths. You can find them under the maths tab in weekly core learning. I will do some on subtraction but they take a very long time to upload.

 Class News

Miss Chance and I would like to say thank you for the kind and generous cards and gifts we received. We hope you all had an amazing Christmas holiday with family and friends.

We are looking forward to hearing all about it next week.

Mrs Anderson

Don't forget we are off to the theatre on Wednesday 8th January to see Peter Pan. Remember to bring your packed lunches as we will be having a later lunch when we get back to school.

Welcome back everyone!

We hope you have all had a great break over the summer, doing and seeing lots of exciting things and places, as well as having a well-earned rest. We are looking forward to hearing all about your adventures over the next few weeks.

On the transition day, children seemed more than ready to meet the additional challenges of Key Stage Two. However, it may take a little time to fully settle into life in the new Key Stage, managing the whole afternoon without a playtime! and getting used to our new routines and responsibilities.

We're really excited about working with you all this year and sharing in your hard work and achievements.

If you have any problems, questions or comments please let us know.

Mrs Anderson and Miss Chance

Class 3 Reminders

In Class 3, the children are expected to become more independent and take responsibility for what they need to have in school each day.

Here is a reminder of what the children will need.

  • Recognition cards, home reading books and blue spelling books should be in school each day
  • PE kits should in school at all times
  • Homework books should be returned to school no later than Tuesday and these will then be given back out on a Wednesday
  • A suitable coat for the weather to ensure your child is appropriately dressed for playtimes

To establish home/school links could we please ask you to sign your child's recognition card each week and their reading diary, every time they read, so they are able to change their reading book. Please date each signing of the reading diary as we track how often children are reading at home and in school.

Thank you in anticipation for your ongoing support.
