Please keep checking this page for updates.

In maths this week, we have been reminding ourselves of our number bonds.

We need to know these really quickly so that we can use them in our maths work.

Here are some games that you can play online to help you practise recalling these number facts as an additional homework task:

Parents, please have a look at this website:

Through this you will be able to access free e-books. You can search for appropriate books by age.

Monday: Bring green spelling books into school for their spelling test. You can see test results in the back of children's books and new spellings are stuck in at the front. Home reading books to be handed in and checked and changes today.

Tuesday: Homework books handed in.

Wednesday: Children come to school dressed in PE kit.

Thursday: Children need to come to school dressed in PE kit. New homework set and sent out.

Children may bring a water bottle (filled with water) and piece of fruit for their snack each day. Fruit is provided daily though for children via the free fruit scheme for KS1.

This information is also available on the updated 'parent briefing' powerpoint on this page. This can be located in the 'Parents' information' tab below.

Hello Year 2! smiley

We hope that you have all had an amazing Summer with your families.

We are looking forward to getting back to school and working with you all.

A few things for you to know:

  • We have PE on Wednesday and Thursday and you must come to school dressed in your PE kit and trainers for the day. Please bring spare trainers so that we can change our footwear if it becomes muddy from the field.
  • You may bring a coat, water bottle, lunch (if you have not ordered lunches through Shire Services) and a piece of fruit for snack time.
  • You will receive weekly home reading books and these should be available in your book bag every day.
