Our Class News
Hello Class 4 Pupils and Parents!
We have now completed half of our year! We have had great fun this half-term learning about the Vikings and even writing our own Myths. We have completed lots of creative projects too including sewing our own Narwhal cuddly toys and making Viking longboat models.
We thank you for your support up until now and would like to remind you of a few things for the second Spring term:
- Please may children continue to have their indoor P.E. kit in school (this includes shorts and pumps) as we will continue with gymnastics for the following 4 weeks.
- Children are reminded that zone board cards must be signed weekly by parents, we hope this gives you the chance to share their spellings and mental maths scores and keep up-to-date with behaviour.
- Homework is handed out on a Friday and is required to be handed back in by the following Wednesday. This usually comprises of one Literacy or Grammar piece, and one Maths piece, either online or in their homework books. Children will also be requested to complete a creative project of their choice relating to the current topic each half-term.
- It is recommended that children read with an adult as often as possible, despite the child's ability to decode words. In the new Spring term we will be requesting that green Reading records are signed at least 3 times per week: This can be once by the child themselves, and twice by an adult or sibling old enough to hear them read.
We hope you enjoy your break and look forward to welcoming you back for a busy and exciting half-term.
